In an interview to an Indian website, Mahesh Babu reflected on his career so far and plans for future. His latest film crossed the Rs 200 crore mark at the box office. The socio-drama, directed by Vamshi Paidipally, also stars Allari Naresh and Pooja Hegde in lead roles. He was recently in the United Kingdom to watch India perform at the ICC World Cup 2019. “It was one of my memorable holidays...it was a special one because of the success of Maharshi and for my son !! His first World Cup match,” said the actor.
Mahesh Babu said that success and failure was part of the profession. “You have to take it in your stride.” He thanked the fans for all the love. “And I owe a large part of my success to them... I try to keep them informed and updated about my work as much as possible,” he added.
When asked about a possible Bollywood debut, Mahesh Babu said his plate was full for the next couple of years. “So can’t say.”
“There are many directors in the Hindi film industry I would love to work with,” he continued, “It won’t be fair to say one as opposed to the other.” When asked about a co-star from Bollywood, he said: “I think all the girls of today are immensely talented.”
Actor and producer in the Telugu cinema, Mahesh Babu is not just known for his movie but his philanthropy work.
The South superstar is currently wrapping up work commitments before the beginning of the schedule of his next movie Sarileru Neekevvaru. “Sarileru Neekevvaru is an entertaining commercial film I’m looking forward to starting it in July,” he tells PinkVilla.
