The chequered life of Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt has been finalised for a biopic. At least, that is what we heard last year and it was also confirmed that actor Ranbir Kapoor would essay the protagonist’s role in the film which will throw light on the older actor's turbulent past, his history of substance abuse and his dalliance with terrorists. The film directed by Rajkumar Hirani, will however omit any references to actress Madhuri Dixit and her involvement in Sanjay Dutt's life.
A recent article in Mid Day reported that Mads even rang up Sanjay Dutt to ensure that there is absolutely no mention of her in his biopic. Revealed a source in the article, “It has been a long time since Madhuri and Sanjay broke up and she, obviously, doesn’t want to revisit those times. So, she called him up to check that the bit about their relationship does not feature in the project. Sanjay assured her that the makers have removed that portion already.”
The pair who were rumoured to be in a serious relationship in the '90s appeared in several fims together, but infortunately they parted ways when Sanjay Dutt was arrested and imprisoned for illegal possession of arms in the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts.
The search for the leading ladies, who would play Sanjay Dutt's two wives, late Richa Sharma and present wife Maanyata Dutt, is still on.
