Beverly Hills 90210 star Luke Perry died at the age of 52 as a result of a massive stroke and Hollywood paid its tributes
Luke Perry was a known American actor who passed away at the age of 52 as a result of a stroke. He was most known as Dylan McKay on the TV series Beverly Hills 902010 and as Fred Andrews in Riverdale, the CW series.
He began his career in 1991 and appeared in popular shows such as Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Family Guy, Johnny Bravo, Oz and Community. He also appeared in films such as The Fifth Element, Storm, The Heist and his post-humuous release, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
Leonardo di Caprio tweeted,
"Luke Perry was a kindhearted and incredibly talented artist. It was an honor to be able to work with him. My thoughts and prayers go out to him and his loved ones."
Joss Whedon tweeted out his condolences,
"The first time I met Luke Perry we talked about what kind of movie we wanted “Buffy” to be. I asked if he’d ever seen “Near Dark” and he gave me a look of HOW DARE YOU SIR and I knew we’d get along. Funny, committed, and always gracious. He shouldn’t be gone."
