Love Aaj Kal Memes Prove to be Better than its Trailer

Sara Ali Khan and Kartik Aaryan were turned into memes as Love Aaj Kal trailer released yesterday

Fans had been eagerly waiting for Bollywood star Sara Ali Khan to finally star in a project that pays tribute to her star parents, Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh. They were treated to the news when it was announced that Imtiaz Ali was all set to create another Love Aaj Kal – which last starred Saif and Deepika Padukone back in 2009. Sara was cast as the female lead along with Kartik Aaryan – two of whom also broke up a few months ago. The trailer of the sequel was released yesterday and while no one is really liking it, it did seem to give birth to quite a few memes on social media.

Have a look at some of them below:
One wrote, “After watching Love Aaj Kal trailer, me:”

Another shared, “South Indian most popular delicacy.”

One added, “When someone keeps sending TikTok videos to me. Me to him:”

Another tweeted, “Me to my bad luck:”

One said, “Boys to beard:”

Another commented, “Me when seeing my salary slip after the tax deductions:”

One tweeted, “When freelancers chase for payment, agency/brand:”

Needless to say, the trailer was a cringefest for many, but the only good thing to come out of it were the memes, especially with Sara’s dialogue ‘Tum mujhe tang karnay lagay ho.’ Scheduled to release on Valentine’s Day this year, February 14, Love Aaj Kal is a film that tackles the ever-changing dynamic of being in and finding love. Veer, essayed by Kartik and Zoe, played by Sara traverse this tricky path of love while trying their luck in finding the answers to these questions. Will they be able to find out what lies ahead of them and if it’s something they wish for? Looks like we’ll have to wait to find out as well. But let’s be honest, do we really want to?
