Love Aaj Kal: Central Board of Film Certification Orders Several Cuts in the Film

The CBFC has reportedly removed several sexually abusive words in Love Aaj Kal and a scene of the lead actors undressing. It has also reduced the duration of a kissing scene

Sara Ali Khan and Kartik Aaryan have not just been making headlines for their alleged off-screen romance but their silver screen pairing too. The duo will soon be seen in acclaimed filmmaker Imtiaz Ali’s next production – Love Aaj Kal. While they have been prepping for the project in full swing, audiences cannot wait to see what the second part in the franchise has in-store for them and as to whether it will match up to the hit 2009 Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone-starrer. The film is of course special for Sara considering its prequel featured her superstar father. But first things first! The project has fallen prey to minor cuts after being screened by the Central Board of Film Certification.

The censor board has reportedly removed several sexually abusive words and a scene of the lead actors undressing themselves. It has also reduced the duration of a particular kissing scene in the forthcoming film. The scene of Sara and Kartik taking their clothes off has been replaced with zoomed in shots of both the actors. Moreover, a long kiss shared by the two at the beginning of the film has been reduced to a peck and another intimate scene has been modified. The visuals of cleavage have also been blurred.
