Game of Thrones fans complained that they did not wait eight seasons to have the ultimate villain be killed by rocks. It seems fans weren’t the only ones disappointed by the ceremonial death. Lena Heady, who played Cersei, recently expressed her dismay over how things ended for the incestuous queen. Speaking to Guardian, Headey said that she wanted a better death for Cersei. “Obviously you dream of your death,” said the actor. “You could go in any way on that show. So I was kind of gutted. But I just think they couldn’t have pleased everyone. No matter what they did, I think there was going to be some big comedown from the climb.”
Headey has been in the industry for much of three decades now and her role in the award winning series earned her much accolade and fandom. But the actor inside her remains unsated. “No, it makes me doubt myself more. Because you think they must be ****** lying.” Game of Thrones fans were extremely disappointed in its last season for the apparent loose plot and flow, ending characters abruptly and for many other reasons. However, the worst of them all had been the editing errors.
Ranging from complaints about one of the episodes being “too dark” to finding a Starbucks-like takeaway cup sitting before the Mother of Dragons and Jamie Lannister’s hand growing back in a promotional still image, there have been enough controversies this season to make the showrunners just a tad bit uncomfortable. Adding to that, there had been a petition against Game of Thrones season finale where the fans are asking HBO to remake Season 8.
