Being a singer, her lung capacity has pulled her through. Truly a fighter. We will update everyone when Lataji gets discharged and comes home. We request that we give the family the space they deserve at the moment.” Meanwhile, Lata’s niece Rachana Shah told The Indian Express, “She is not critical. In fact, stable and recovering. She was down with a viral infection but is now on the path of recovery. She will be fine soon. We could have treated her at home. But we decided to get her to the hospital. It’s close to our home plus treatment is thorough.”
