Kriti Sanon to be Roped in for Satte Pe Satta Remake? Find Out Details Here!

Kriti Sanon has been rumoured to reprise Ranjeet Kaur’s character from the original 1982’s Satte Pe Satta

In a short span of five years, actress Kriti Sanon has made a name for herself in Bollywood. From starring in films opposite Shah Rukh Khan, to being a part of Heropanti, Raabta and Bareilly ki Barfi, the starlet has come a long way. She is currently gearing up for the release of her next film, Housefull 4 which also stars Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Bobby Deol, Kriti Kharbhanda and Pooja Hedge. And while she has a number of films in the pipeline already, rumours have been circulating that she is being roped in for the Satte Pe Satta remake.

According to Times of India, Kriti has been approached to play Ranjeet Kaur’s role from the 1982 classic in the remake which will be helmed by filmmaker Farah Khan. However, no confirmations have been made yet. Farah, recently shared that she will be revealing more details about the film on Diwali so it looks like we might be hearing official announcements soon. If reports are to be believed, it will be the first time Kriti shares screen space with Hrithik Roshan and Anushka Sharma, as the two are also being touted to play the lead in the Satte Pe Satta remake.

Apart from the remake, Kriti is currently gearing up for the release of Housefull 4. Later, she will also be featuring in Laxman Utekar’s Mami and seen alongside Arjun Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt in Panipat. On the other hand, the remake, which is tentatively titled Seven, will mark the first collaboration between Farah and filmmaker Rohit Shetty. Apart from Hrithik and Anushka, Aayush Sharma – Salman Khan’s brother-in-law – is rumoured to be playing Hrithik’s character’s younger brother. Hrithik has also asked the makers of the film to make a few changes in the script. He wants his character to stand out in the film. Fans can assume that his role in the remake will be much meatier than the one Amitabh Bachchan played in the original.
