The much-anticipated Ashutosh Gowariker directorial, Panipat has created a buzz and fans can hardly wait for its release. Recently, Kriti Sanon wrapped up her shoot for the film in which she stars alongside Arjun Kapoor. The Arjun-Kriti starrer is based on the Third Battle of Panipat that took place on January 14, 1761. As she wrapped up her shoot, Kriti took to social media and shared a photo with director Ashutosh Gowariker, and later with co-star Arjun.

The photo of Kriti with the director shows the two lost in thought and Kriti penned a heartfelt caption to go with it. “Wrapped up PANIPAT! Thank you so much Ashu sir for giving me this opportunity, for always hearing me out & finding Parvati bai with me!You create magic in the calmest manner ever!And I’m honored to be a part of this magic! @AshGowariker. That’s literally us..always wondering!,” she wrote.

She later also shared a picture with Arjun in which she is seen playfully covering his mouth.  “There is no other way of shutting him up!! Haha..  Thank you @arjunk26 for being such a lovely and entertaining costar!! With no ice to break, i’m glad we went on this journey together and i found an amazing friend in you! #PanipatWrapForParvati,” she wrote. Their latest picture is testament to their friendship and proof that Kriti has found a good friend in Arjun.

Panipat narrates the story of the 1761 battle which is touted to be one of the most epic battles in the history of India; fought between the Maratha Empire’s northern expeditionary force and the invading forces of the King of Afghanistan, Ahmad Shah Abdali along with his two Indian allies- the Rohilla Afghans of the Doab and Shuja-ud-Daula, the Nawab of Awadh. The film is slated to release on December 6, 2019.
