Kriti Sanon shares her mantra behind acing her career while staying grounded

It's not very easy for an aspiring actor to quickly become a big name in the industry, at least not until they have a celebrity back them up. Or unless they're extremely talented. Likewise, Kriti Sanon, who made her Bollywood debut only five years ago, is one such name that the audiences are aware of and adore. Coming from an engineering background, Sanon took the leap of faith and signed her first film, Heropanti opposite Tiger Shroff. Proving her acting prowess in films after that, Sanon is undoubtedly amongst Bollywood's most celebrated young actors.

Speaking to Filmfare, Sanon revealed that the only way to move forward in life was by learning from all your experience and using them to grow.

She said, "Whether it's Heropanti, Dilwali, Raabta, Bareilly Ki Barfi or Luka Chuppi, I got the opportunity to learn so much. We actors are blessed. We get to play different characters. Thereby, we live so many lives."

"We meet people who’re intelligent, talented and have varied viewpoints," said the Luka Chuppi leading star. "All this broadens your own perspective. You also get to learn so many skills."

The actresses also shared that she was afraid of the deep waters, but still learnt scuba diving for Raabta and got over her life. Later, she also learnt horse-back riding and sword-fighting. Talk about commitment.

Sanon continued that like every other person, sometimes she too felt like giving up.

"No matter how long or brief your struggle is, you do come across a time when you feel low and start doubting yourself," she continued.

"You feel unsure of what you're doing and wonder whether you’ll achieve anything, especially, when you don’t come from a film background," said the Heropanti actress, "when you don't have someone backing you and guiding you through the way."

She added that she feels very fortunate to have friends and family by her side, who believed in her and kept her motivated throughout.

The young star has a very eventful year ahead of year. After Luka Chuppi, fans will be able to see her in July in Arjun Patiala, Housefull 4 and her first period film, Panipat. Speaking of the film, Sanon revealed, "I’m playing a Marathi character for the first time. I got to work with Ashutosh Gowariker, which is something many actors look forward to. What he creates is magic." She concluded that she's also in talks regarding other projects which she can't speak of right now, but would reveal soon.
