Kim Sharma has been in news lately, but not for the right reasons. The actress has been accused of domestic violence by her house help and things have now gotten worse with a complaint being filed.
Kim’s former domestic help has filed assault charges against the actress after she reportedly beat her up for not separating the whites from the rest of the laundry. The house help goes by the name, Esther Khes, 31, and has been working at Kim’s house from April 27.
Esther spoke to Mumbai Mirror about the incident saying, “After the clothes were washed, I noticed that a black blouse had bled into a white tee. I realised my mistake and went to tell her about it immediately.” Esther obviously didn’t see what was coming her way once she had made her confession. Kim is said to have lost all her cool, throwing a huge rage. “She pushed me out of the house, telling me not to return. She even hurled abusive words at me,” said Esther.
In the report, Esther has also claimed that Kim failed to pay her dues for the services provided. “I tried several times to get my salary. After her final refusal, I lodged a police complaint on June 27.”
A Khar police official in his statement to Mirror confirmed that the offence was registered under sections 323 (voluntarily causing hurt) and 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace) of the IPC. “The complainant can move the court for further legal action as per the law.”
Opening up about the incident to Mumbai Mirror, Kim maintained she didn’t manhandle her house help. “Khes has been told that her dues would be cleared on the seventh. I did not beat her. She ruined my clothes worth over Rs 70,000. I only asked her to leave after she did that.”
