Kim Kardashian Holds Herself Accountable for Paris Robbery
Kim Kardashian shared that she blames herself and the lavish lifestyle that she overshared, that led to the Paris robbery
Kim Kardashian West is one of the biggest social media celebrities in the world and also one of the richest ones out there. However, 3 years ago, Kim was robbed at gunpoint in Paris. The robbers had tied up Kim and left with millions of dollars’ worth of jewellery. Now, the social media sensation says that she blames herself and her lavish lifestyle for the robbery. She shared that she was too flashy with her life and overshared a lot than she should have which led the incident to occur.
Kim stated, “'I definitely see the things that I brought on myself, the biggest being the robbery. Just being flashy and oversharing my every move on social media. 'But I enjoy my life. Someone said to me the other day, ‘What is it like being you?’ It's awesome.” After the robbery, Kim feel she has gotten less materialistic. And it was only after the incident that she realized she wanted to study and become a lawyer so she can help others. She explained, “I truly think once I got robbed, it took something out of me in the best way. All the things that really mattered to me then deeply - how many bags I had, what car I drove - I still like all that stuff, but it doesn't matter. It could go away.”
Kim continued, “This was the first time where I thought, I want to go to law school. I want to help people. Now I've come to a realisation about what I care about. No publicist would have ever told me to get into prison reform.” But despite everything, the social media sensation does not have any regrets being under the public eye. She concluded, “I've always felt like I'm so grateful to have all of those memories on-camera. I will look back and think, ‘Oh my God, what was I wearing? Why is my make-up like that?’”
