During their visit, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will be visiting a school, the national park in the capital and will also be meeting with Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Their first full day in Pakistan commenced with a visit to Islamabad Model School for girls and fans have been drooling over her look which has been circulating rapidly on social media. Fashion experts and critics have been analyzing Kate Middleton’s wardrobe choices prior to the tour commencing with many making their predictions on which designers she will be wearing during the trip. A host of Pakistani designers were amongst the top picks for the Duchess to be dressed in, including the likes of Maheen Khan, Khaadi, Deepak Perwani, HSY and Asim Joffa.
With the royal couple having commenced the royal tour today on day one, all eyes have been on Kate Middleton as she stepped out in a royal blue shalwar kurta as they headed to the girls school. Kate Middleton is said to be sporting an array of cool blue and green outfits during her visit and with that being said, we decided to decode her first two looks from the royal visit.
For her arrival in the country, Kate Middleton opted for a turquoise green ombre fusion ensemble by one of her favourite British designers, Catherine Walker. The outfit featured a long flowy dress which was paired with straight pants and featured some gathered fabric on the neckline which resembles a dupatta; which is traditionally worn with Pakistani outfits.
The Duchess paired the ombre ensemble with a pair of her signature nude pointed heels and a pair of dangling earrings from Pakistani jewellery brand, Zeen. She rounded off her look with a contrasting clutch and a fresh bouncy blow dry and was ready for touch down in Pakistan. It is pertinent to note how Kate Middleton is drawing inspiration from her mother-in-law, Princess Diana who wore a similar colour during her visit to the country.
For her second look, Kate Middleton was clad in a royal blue number by Pakistani fashion power house, Maheen Khan. The outfit featured a kameez and pants and the kameez was adorned with beautiful thread work along the v-neck collar. And no Pakistani outfit is complete without a dupatta which Kate Middleton has coupled her outfit with.
Kate Middleton teamed her blue ensemble with a pair of nude block heels and a pair of dangling earrings by a local jewellery designer. As per usual, the Duchess styled her hair with a fresh bouncy blow dry and with subtle makeup, she looked au natural. Once again, many comparisons were being made between Kate Middleton and Princess Diana and pictures of their similar looks have also been circulating across social media. The hashtag #RoyalVisitPakistan is also trending on both Twitter and Instagram.
The Royal couple is all set to tour the country over a period of five days whereby they will be meeting with the prime minister and other officials, visiting schools and also the Nationl Park in the country’s capital. Fashion circles are gearing up to review and analyse all her looks from the visit and we can’t wait to see what other looks she has in store.
