Prince William and Kate Middleton met Prime Minister Imran Khan and President Arif Alvi on the second day of their royal engagements. Prime Minister Imran Khan came outside to greet the royal couple while clutching his tasbeeh. Their meeting with Prime Minister Imran Khan is special to the couple as it was reminiscent of Princess Diana’s friendship with Prime Minister Imran Khan and his ex-wife Jemima Goldsmith. Princess Diana had visited Pakistan twice to meet the couple and support Imran Khan’s hospital named Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital. The hospital was also inaugurated by Princess Diana who kept Pakistan very close to her heart.

At the President House, the royal couple was greeted by President Arif Alvi and his wife. At this occasion, Pakistan’s foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi and his wife Mehreen Qureshi were also present. The same couple had received Prince William and Kate Middleton when they landed in Islamabad last night.
For these official meetings, Kate Middleton swiftly changed into a green and white combination which also coordinated well with Pakistan’s flag. She wore a green Catherine Walker dress with off white pants by Maheen Khan. The scarf by Satrangi and earrings by Zeen made the Duchess look completely different from her previous looks for the trip to Pakistan.
Earlier during the day, the royal couple had visited a government school in Islamabad and Margalla Hills.
Prince William and Kate Middleton will attend an elaborate evening arranged by the British High commission followed by dinner at the Pakistan Monument in Islamabad.
Prince William and Kate Middleton will stay in Pakistan until October 18th, 2019. Their children Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis did not accompany them to the royal tour and hence the couple wants to be home to spend time with their children over the weekend. Prince William and Kate Middleton are hands-on parents despite their busy schedules and even make sure that they drop their children to school themselves.
