Kartik Aaryan Opens Up on Collaborating With Ranbir Kapoor’s Previous Director Imtiaz Ali
Kartik Aaryan will be seen in Imtiaz Ali’s Love Aaj Kal 2 with Sara Ali Khan and Ranbir Kapoor in Luv Ranjan’s next. Both stars will be working with each other’s past directors.
Bollywood actors often end up landing a variety of different projects with various directors. There are currently two popular leading actors who have taken projects with each other's past filmmakers. Any guesses? Kartik Aaryan and Ranbir Kapoor have both signed up projects with filmmakers which each of them have worked with in the past. Kartik Aaryan has recently worked with Rockstar director Imtiaz Ali in his film, Aaj Kal with Sara Ali Khan. On the other hand, Ranbir will be seen working with Pyaar Ka Punchnama director Luv Ranjan in his next film. It appears, the two have swapped the directors.
In a recent interview with a leading Indian Daily, Kartik Aaryan was asked about swapping directors with Ranbir Kapoor and the Luka Chuppi actor had an interesting take on it. While the Aaj Kal actor stated that he had thought about the same when he noticed that Ranbir is working with Luv Ranjan and he is working with Imtiaz Ali, he also added that the current time is extremely interesting for all the actors in the industry. Kartik also clearly stated that since he has worked with Luv Ranjan in Pyaar Ka Punchnama, Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 and Sonu Ki Titu Ki Sweety, he would love to work with him again.
“It (thought of swapping directors with Ranbir) did cross my mind. It’s an interesting time for all of us actors. I would definitely love to work with Luv sir again,” he said during the interview.
Kartik Aaryan is currently in Lucknow where he is shooting for the remake of Pati Patni Aur Woh helmed by Mudassar Aziz. The film stars Ananya Panday and Bhumi Pednekar and is slated to release on December 6, 2019. Kartik also wrapped up shooting Imtiaz Ali’s film, Aaj Kal in which he will be starring alongside rumoured girlfriend, Sara Ali Khan. The film is all set to release on Valentines Day, 2020.
