Karan Oberoi had a rough few days. He was accused by an astrologer of rape and had to spend several days and nights in jail, till it was revealed that the woman had faked the charges. It has been over a month that Karan Oberoi is out of jail, thanks to his friends such as Pooja Bedi who rallied for him and even started a #MenToo campaign.

Karan Oberoi in a recent interview has revealed that he met the woman on a popular dating app and wasn’t looking for a relationship. He agreed that there was a bond created between them, but she lied about her personal details to him. He alleged that even though the woman claimed that she was an astrologer, she was in fact into ‘black magic’ and ‘voodoo’. The woman complained of rape when the actor did not reciprocate her feelings as it enraged her. Karan shared that he was kept in custody in the Taloja jail where he had to share a toilet with 92 other inmates and even clean it at times. He said that he got firsthand experience of being inside a prison and that he wants to work towards improving the jails in India.

Rumours are rife that Karan Oberoi is reportedly in a relationship with AltBalaji’s Gandi Baat actress, Anveshi Jain. Karan shared in the interview how Anveshi stood by him like a rock and even came to visit him in the jail. But the actor said that Anveshi just happens to be his best friend’s sister and that she is a close pal as well. Previously, Karan was in a serious relationship with television actress, Mona Singh. The two were rumoured to be engaged but Mona called off the relationship as she wanted to concentrate on her career.

Karan Oberoi opens up about the fake allegations and painful suffering in an interview with Bollywood Hungama’s Faridoon Shahryar.
