Karan Johar is the resident godfather of Bollywood, especially when it comes to launching star kids. After Jahnvi Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Ananya Pandey, KJo is all set to launch another star kid – former actress Farha and her former husband Vindoo Dara Singh who has turned to the Student of the Year director to launch their son Fateh Randhawa’s career as a leading man.
Fateh is nepotistically privileged – he is legendary wrestler-turned-actor Dara Singh’s grandson and his aunt is the formidable Tabu. Vindoo’s former wife Farha herself was a well known actress in the 80s. It looks like Karan’s keen eyes have fallen on Fateh and the young actor is all set to be launched in the sequel to Dostana which is now on the anvil.
Says proud father Vindoo, “Fateh has worked so hard for the past four years in every department of acting, so hard work always pays back.” Vindoo himself didn’t make it big as an actor but he has been seen in several films in character roles such as the time he played Akshay Kumar’s friend in Kambakht Ishq.
Sources from Karan Johar’s Dharma Production say Karan Johar has met and interacted the star kid and he thinks Fateh has the potential to make as big an impact as Varun Dhawan and Siddharth Malhotra. It’s time for more new talent to emerge from Bollywood. And when it happens, don’t be surprised if the N word (nepotism) is thrown again at Karan Johar.
