Karan Johar to Host a Show on Netflix
Karan Johar is all set to host a show which is going to broadcast on Netflix
Bollywood's favourite filmmaker, Karan Johar is a name known to many. The star has not only managed to reach soaring heights throughout his career, but also made headlines every now and then. A few years ago, he also introduced the world to his twins, Yash and Roohi Johar, whom he conceived through surrogacy. This time around it's yet again, a different kind of headline that the filmmaker has made.
Karan celebrated his 47th birthday on Saturday with a special announcement for his fans. The star revealed that he will be hosting a dating show on the popular streaming app, Netflix. Netflix India tweeted, "This is probably not how presents work but on the occasion of his birthday we’ve decided to gift ourselves a dating show hosted by Karan Johar. What The Love? With Karan Johar, coming to Netflix."

Karan, who has already been hosting a popular chat show, Koffee with Karan, since 2004, replied to Netflix India's tweet. He wrote, "Where there’s chemistry, there’s always a way! Can’t wait to join the Netflix India family and spread a whole lotta love!"
While the title of the show sounds interesting, it's still unclear what or who it will feature. Will Karan be bringing in two of the most eligible stars of the industry and setting them up? Or will he be inviting rumoured celebrity couples and manipulate them to come clean about their relationship? Or will it be a reality show? Wherein normal citizens will take the couch to share their likes and dislikes. Whatever it may be. One thing is for sure. It's going to be a whole lot of fun. And let's hope he calls in one of his best friends and fellow gossip queen, Kareena Kapoor Khan to maybe co-host the chat show with him.
Karan Johar first appeared in Dilwale Dulhani Le Jayenge opposite Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol in 1995. Four years later, he made his directorial debut with Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. Son to veteran filmmaker Yash Johar and Hiroo Johar, Karan went on to helm films such as Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, My Name is Khan, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and many more. He has also launched many actors into the industry, namely fellow director David Dhawan's son, Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra. The filmmaker has also worked with Pakistani star Fawad Khan in Kapoor and Sons. Earlier this year, Karan was under fire for misogynistic remarks when he invited Indian cricketers Hardik Pandya and K L Rahul. Let's hope none of that gets repeated on his upcoming show.
