Karan Johar and Kajol play Sindoor Khela during Durga Puja
Karan Johar and Kajol have been close friends for a very long time and have stayed strong despite a few glitches in their friendship in the past.
Durga Puja started on October 4th, 2019 and ended on October 8th, 2019 in India. This festival is a ten-day festival observed in the month of Ashwin which falls in September and October. This festival marks the victory of the goddess Durga in her fight against the shape changer Mahishasura. Like Dussehra, Durga :Puja also marks the victory of good over evil. Durga Puja falls together with Navratri and Dussehra as far as the timeline in coincides. Goddess Durga is considered the force behind creation and life hence it is also a part of the harvest festival. The puja is performed both in homes and public pandals.
Durga Puja is particularly popular among the Bengalis. Kajol along with her sister Tanisha Mukherji, mother Tanuja, and cousins Rani Mukherji and Ayan Mukerji celebrated the religious festival in full swing. The actress was a part of the public celebrations for almost every day. Ajay Devgan also visited the pandal but much later with their son Yug
Kajol has always bene regular with the traditional festivals and pujas but this year it was more special. This year Durga puja saw many important names of the industry joining Kajol.
While Rani Mukherji and Ayan Mukerjiare her cousins, Kajol’s best friend of many years Karan Johar and the famous socialite Natasha Poonawalla also joined the family for the religious ritual. Both Kajol and Tanisha could not help sharing the photos on their respective social media accounts as they played the traditional play Sindoor Khela with their friends. Kajol and Karan Johar have been good friends for a very long time but had a fall out due to Karan Johar’s differences with Kajol’s husband Ajay Devgan.
Ayan Mukerji and Karan johar are currently working together on a film based on the Hindu mythology called Brahmastra. The lead actors Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt also happen to be Ayan Mukerji’s close friends. They also attended Durga Puja with Ayan Mukherjee in the same pandal at different times. Brahmastra is the same film which brought Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor together.
