Rumours are abound that comic superstar Kapil Sharma and his wife Ginni Chatrath are all set to welcome their first child. The couple tied the knot on December 12 last year. According to a report in News18, Ginni Chatrath is pregnant and Kapil's mother, who is in Mumbai with the couple, is taking care of her and is busy making necessary preparations. However, there is no confirmation yet from the couple.
Sharma and Ginni Chatrath tied the knot in Jalandhar in a twin ceremony. After getting married in a Hindu ceremony, the Anand Karaj ceremony was organised at Ginni's place. The newly married couple couldn't go to their honeymoon immediately due to Kapil's hectic schedule but reportedly the two holidayed in Amsterdam, the picture of which went viral on web. Post their wedding ceremony, the couple hosted receptions in Amritsar, Mumbai, and then Delhi.
Kapil recently revealed an interesting fact about his wedding. "My wedding venue was hustled with approximately 5,000 people but when I looked around, I could only see about 40-50 people only whom I knew personally," he was quoted as saying in a statement from Sony Entertainment Television.
Meanwhile, Kapil also revealed some stories about the struggles he had to face to make a name for himself in society and earn out of his talent. In a media interaction, the comedian shared some of his real-life stories along with some hilarious incidents of the past. He also revealed why he married late despite people telling him to tie the knot earlier. Kapil said, "Whenever I used to go to see a girl, her parents asked me about my career to which I reverted saying that I am a comedian. I have always got weird replies like, 'being a comedian is fine, but what do you do to earn money?' And this was the reason I have always been rejected for marriage as everybody thought this art of mine cannot make me earn bread and butter for my family."
On the work front, Kapil is currently hosting The Kapil Sharma Show after a brief break. He was in the news for the epic meltdown he had, brought on by stress, but has been working hard to get back on track.
