During the unveiling of a song from Kangana Ranaut’s upcoming film, Judgmentall Hai Kya, the ace starlet was caught in a brawl with a male media journalist. While their spat started with a mere question thrown at the Queen star, the matter escalated within minutes and Kangana was called out for her allegedly unacceptable behaviour. As the video of Kangana’s exchange with the reporter went viral, senior members from different media outlets called for a meeting with the film’s producer Ekta Kapoor. They pressed for an public apology from Kangana and claimed to resort to extreme measures including boycotting the film’s promotions if she did not adhere to their demands.
Wasting no time, Kangana’s sister and manager Rangoli Chandel has mentioned that her sister will not apologise to the media under any circumstances. Taking to Twitter she revealed Kangana will in fact set the media right. "Ek baat ka main vaada karti hoon, Kangana se apology nahin milegi, in bikau, nange, deshdrohi, desh ke dalal, libtard mediawalon ko. Magar who tumko dho dho kar sidha zaroor karegi. Just wait and watch, tumne galat insan se maafi mangi hai," Rangoli posted. She promised that Kangana will not ask for forgiveness and mentioned the media has asked the wrong person for an apology.

This past weekend, Kangana accused a male reporter for carrying out smear campaigns against her. She refused to entertain any of his questions post which the two of them got into a serious argument, further worsening the situation. Soon after, senior media journalists called for a meeting to be held this week with Ekta. It all started with a journalist asking Kangana a question about Judgmentall Hai Kya. She responded with, "Have I made a mistake by making a film?" A rather sarcastic and agitated Kangana then added, ''You are calling me a jingoistic person for making a film on nationalism.'' The journalist reacted to the Fashion actor’s allegations by telling her that it’s not fair on her part to say that. He further denied her claims by saying that he did not tweet anything about her role in Manikarnika earlier.]
