The cast of 'Kalank'

Kalank’s trailer was launched today and given its star studded cast, the trailer is currently breaking Bollywood Internet. Bollywood royalty, Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan appear in this massive film alongside, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditya Roy Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit and Sanjay Dutt. The cast was seen at the trailer launch dressed in purely traditional clothes.

Alia Bhatt wore a deep purple anarkali style kurta dress with a gold dupatta and matching embroidery and jhumkas. With her long brown tresses tied half behind her head, Alia looked like a vision.

In a similarly styled dress but in a very different color, Sonakshi Sinha appeared at the trailer launch in a maroon embossed dress. Leaving her hair open and also sporting jhumkas, Sonakshi Sinha looked wonderful.

Varun Dhawan channelled his looks from his song from Kalank, ‘First Class’ as he wore an embroidered kurta and clicked selfies with the fans.

Madhuri Dixit wore a lemon yellow choli sharara that went perfectly with the sunny event.

Aditya Roy Chaudhary sported a sherwani and gave a very regal appearance. At the trailer launch he joked about being drunk on set as he was supposed to play drunk in a scene.

Kunal Khemu attended in a kurta worn with a Nehru vest.

Fashion guru Karan Johar was unable to attend the event because he was in Singapore unveiling his wax statue, according to Alia Bhatt.

Kalank is set to release on April 17, 2019 and is known to be a project that was very close to Karan Johar’s father, Yash Johar.
