Just Click For Free Car Rides in the UAE This Ramadan
UAE based bank and transport company offer free rides to customers as a way of giving back to clients during the holy month
This Ramadan, fear not if you're stuck on the way back from work or late for your Iftar invitation because of the dearth of taxis! UAE-based bank Emirates NBD announced on Tuesday that is has partnered with taxi company Uber, which operates a fleet of taxis in the UAE, to offer free rides all throughout the holy month. The offer is available to the bank’s debit or credit cardholders from 6pm to 9pm, between Thursday and Saturday during Ramadan, reported an article in Gulf News.
New clients with ENBD's debit or credit cards are also entitled to receive two extra free rides that will be valid during the same period. Residents can register on Uber with their Emirates NBD card to avail a maximum of eight rides per person and amount not exceeding Dhs40 per ride.
Senior executive vice president and group head for retail banking and wealth management at Emirates NBD, Suvo Sarkar said the free ride option is their way of giving back to their clients, said the report.
