Janhvi Kapoor’s Mother Sridevi Did Not Trust Her Judgement in Men

Janhvi Kapoor revealed that Sridevi wanted to choose a husband for her daughter.

In a short span of time, Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor has made herself one of the most talked about stars in the industry – thankfully, without getting caught up in any kind of controversy. The actress marked her debut in 2018 with Karan Johar’s Dhadak with Ishaan Khatter which was a remake of the Marathi film Sairat. However, months before her first film was released, Janhvi’s mother and legendary actress Sridevi passed away in an unfortunate drowning incident. Her death shocked all of Bollywood and obviously affected the entire family deeply. Janhvi, who was very close to her mother, was devastated. The two shared a very strong bond, wherein they spoke about Janhvi’s choice in men as well.

In a recent interview, Janhvi revealed that Sridevi did not trust her judgement in men. The starlet said, “She would say that she doesn’t trust my judgement in guys and that she will choose someone for me because I love very easily.” When asked about what Janhvi would like in an ideal partner, she revealed that the person should be talented and passionate about what he does. “A sense of humour is really important as well. And, of course, he has to be obsessed with me,” added the 22-year-old star.

While there might still seem to be a long way to go for Janvhi to get married, it looks like she already has an ideal wedding planned in her head. She stated, “I want something that’s real and intimate and close to who I am. I don’t need anything big and fancy. I already know my wedding is going to be really traditional and it will take place in Tirupati. I’m going to wear a Kanjeevaram zari sari and there’s going to be a full daawat after the wedding with all the South Indian food that I love - idli, sambhar, curd rice, and kheer.”
