Janhvi Kapoor Signs Yet Another Special Project With Father Boney Kapoor On The Producer Seat. Here Are The Details!
Boney Kapoor confirmed that Janhvi will soon team up with him for a film he is producing. The film has been titled Bombay Girl and will go on the floors in January next year.
Janhvi Kapoor no longer needs an introduction. Hailing from a film family, the daughter of late Bollywood icon Sridevi and film producer Boney Kapoor, enthralled audiences when she made her big screen Indian cinematic debut with Dhadak. She has not stopped since and has been bagging one project after another including the upcoming Dostana 2 Now, she has signed a project with her father and this is why the opportunity is extra special to her. Boney confirmed that Janhvi will soon team up with him for a film he is producing. The film has been titled Bombay Girl and will go on the floors in January next year.
“It will see Janhvi in an all-new avatar. Undoubtedly, it’s going to be a special project for both, her as well as Boneyji. After all, the father-daughter duo is coming together for the first time. For the same film, Boneyji has joined hands with [producer] Mahaveer Jain,” revealed an industry insider.
Although the makers remain mum about the details surrounding the project, Bombay Girl will be written and directed by Sanjay Tripaathy. “It’s going to be a coming-of-age story of a rebellious teenager and Janhvi is also very excited about the film as the part is diametrically opposite to her other roles,” added the source. Talking about the same, Boney added, “I am surely very excited about the film. Janhvi will be doing something completely different from what she is doing in all her other movies.” Jain, who is elated to collaborate with the father-daughter duo mentioned, “I can promise one thing that it will be an unforgettable story.” When asked if he is emotional about working with Janhvi for the first time after Sridevi’s passing, Boney stated, “I feel whenever a parent works with their kids, it’s an emotional experience and the same holds true for me. I was equally overwhelmed when I teamed up with my son Arjun for the first time.”
