Janhvi Kapoor has made a name for herself as a blooming fashionista in tinsel town. The one-film-old actress has won appreciation galore for her bold fashion statements and style files. However, recently she found herself on the wrong foot of the fashion scale. And one must add, it's for no fault of hers!

The 'fashion plagiarism police' of Instagram, 'Diet Sabya' recently called out the label Purple Paisley for passing off Balmain’s sequined dress as their own. Now, what is Janhvi's connection to all of this? The stunning Dhadak actress wore the outfit for Cosmopolitan India’s shoot. Janhvi graced the cover of the popular magazine but one of the shots featured inside was a blatant lift of the Balmain dress by Purple Paisley. Take a look.

The 'mistake' was obviously not hers (as stars generally wear what their stylist decides) but unfortunately, it was poor Janhvi who had to bear the brunt. And it was outed by none other than the Instagram fashion police, Diet Sabya, the popular account with 139k followers including stars like Alia Bhatt and Sonam Kapoor, that exposes copies in the Indian fashion world.

Needless to say, this revelation led to a lot of trolling. And it was Janhvi more than the magazine who was commented upon. Given the previous spat that involved Diet Sabya, designer Anamika Khanna and the Kapoor sisters namely, Sonam Kapoor Ahuja and Rhea Kapoor…let’s just say that the audience has a reaction for everyone.

Take a look at some of the comments:

Well, that is the price one has to pay for being a celebrity! The fashion police and more importantly, social media commentators, won't spare anyone. Janhvi has probably learnt this lesson well by now.
