Is Shahid Kapoor Being Paid More Than Madhuri Dixit on Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa?

While there was a lot being said about why & who Madhuri was being replaced with on the show, this is what's really going on..

Everyone wondered why Madhuri Dixit-Nene would no longer be a judge on the celebrity reality show Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa after three consecutive years when the news first broke out. Now we know it is Sasha who is replacing the Dhak Dhak girl and is apparently getting paid much more than the actress! A report in IBT suggests that the actor who will soon be hitched is getting paid a whopping INR 1.75 crore while Madhuri was being paid INR 1 crore per episode for the past three seasons!
Moreover, apparently Remo D’Souza recently confessed that he did Jhalak only so that he could witness Madhuri in real and since she is out of the show, he too left. But Shahid Kapoor’s entry into the arena surely spices things up. Buzz is that Manish Paul has also increased his fees for the upcoming season and the host will be paid about INR 1 crore.
This will be Shahid's debut as a judge on a reality show and as a skilled dancer himself the actor is very excited. "When I first took up dancing, I had the privilege to work closely with some great mentors to not only hone my dance skills, but also helped me to shape my personality. As I join the Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa family as its judge, I am looking forward to share my learnings and experience with the contestants. Being a dancer brought discipline to my life and changed it completely; I’m now hoping to transfer some of the knowledge towards shaping the young and talented choreographers in our country," Shahid tells
Madhuri Dixit left her fans with this as an end note when she announced her departure from the show, "I have been on Jhalak... for three years now and I am taking a break to focus on other projects. I will be back shortly with probably something even more exciting. I wish Jhalak... the very best for a spectacular season."
