Irrfan Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan's Angrezi Medium Wraps Up: Director Pens Heartwarming Note
Irrfan Khan and Kareena Kapoor’s Angrezi Medium just wrapped up and it’s been quite the journey for the cast and crew. On that note, the film’s director has a message for everyone
Irrfan Khan returned to India in April after which he started shooting for Angrezi Medium. Bollywood beauty, Kareena Kapoor too recently joined the film's cast. Alongside Irrfan Khan and Kareena Kapoor, the film also stars Pataakha actor Radhika Madan. The movie is a sequel to the 2017 hit film, Hindi Medium which starred Irrfan Khan, Pakistani actress Saba Qamar and Amrita Singh in pivotal roles. Now, the latest updates pertaining to the film are that the film has finally wrapped up shooting and the film’s director, Homi Adajania took to social media to pen an emotional note for the entire cast, crew and team behind the film.
The director took to his Instagram account and penned a rather moving post, and made mention of the filming of Angrezi Medium had been 'uncertain' as well as ‘positive'. Homi Adajania made his directorial debut with Being Cyrus, an English-language psychological drama, which was followed by his commercially successful Hindi-language romantic comedy Cocktail.
“It’s been a journey filled with uncertainty... and filled with the most positive bunch of people who were certain that everything would work out. Thank you to my tenacious crew and cast for smiling through the struggle yet laughing when given the slightest chance. Angrezi Medium is our movie. Thank you all for this precious memory. It’s a wrap!” the director wrote in his note.
Angrezi Medium is a much awaited film which will see Kareena Kapoor in a cop avatar. Not long ago, Kareena Kapoor’s first look from the film was unveiled where she was clad in casual attire, minimal makeup and a police badge clipped onto her waist.
"Kareena is a great addition to our franchise. Angrezi Medium is a very special film and I'm excited that she's going to be a part of it. We wanted to introduce this character who would be taken forward in the franchises to come and she's perfect for it," Dinesh Vijan, the film’s producer had said earlier.
