Madhuri Dixit-Nene’s much awaited song from Kalank, 'Tabah Ho Gaye', hit the internet yesterday. Kalank is an upcoming magnum opus from Karan Johar which stars Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Sonakshi Sinha and Aditya Roy Kapoor. It also stars veteran stars Madhuri Dixit and Sanjay Dutt who have reunited onscreen after many years

As always netizens had much to say about the song.

One user called to attention how Madhuri’s use of her hands and her eyebrows was an asset.

“LISTEN,” they posted, “What Madhuri Dixit can do with just those hands and an eyebrow raise is Bollywood’s most singular superpower right now, and don’t you forget it.”

Earlier, comedian Lilly Singh and Bhuvan Bam had also paid homage to Madhuri’s eyebrow skills.

Some netizens weren’t impressed with the song at all. “An average song with lazy choreography,” they said. “Only Madhuri Dixit's expressions and skills saved the song. More justice could have been done to the song.”

Some had a more humorous take to it. “BREAKING NEWS,” announced one user, “According to Times of India Legendary actress Madhuri Dixit was recently hospitalised due to severe back pain due to the burden of carrying the weight of the entire Indian Film Industry on her back. We all wish her a speedy recovery.”

Another Madhuri fan gave an important ‘reminder.' “Madhuri Dixit owns the color orange and you need her written permission before attempting to wear it”

One Twitter user couldn’t believe that Devdas and Kalank were 17 years apart.

Others were sheer praise of the song. “THIS is why Madhuri Dixit is so legendary, THIS is why she’s class apart,” they said. “I mean look at her expressions and kathak! She truly deserves all the limelight because there’s no one like her. Give her the recognition and show us her full potential!”

"Queen," said one user

“Wow.... What a song.... and what a dance.... Both favs in a single album, Shreya Ghoshal and Madhuri Dixit, U both have done a great job,” Madhuri fans said happily.

The critics did have their say, “What did I just watch? The mediocre music & awkward choreography make the iconic Madhuri Dixit look lost. Shreya’s vocals are great but don’t match Madhuri’s imposing presence. And don’t even get me started on that set & those jarring colors. Orange, really? #Kalank”

Madhuri was the saving grace for said critics. “Madhuri Dixit is the only woman who can make a mediocre song and choreography still look like poetry. Legend for a reason!” they tweeted.
