Riding high on the outstanding success of his recent films Super 30 and War, Hrithik Roshan is all set to appear in Krrish 4, the fourth installment of his popular superhero series. However, recent rumours doing the rounds had said Hrithik’s father filmmaker-actor Rakesh Roshan would not be returning as the director for this part and that director Sanjay Gupta would be taking his place for the new project. However, Rakesh Roshan has rubbished all these rumours and confirmed that he will indeed be directing the latest part of Krrish.
Speaking to an entertainment portal, he said, “Even I am reading the same rumours as you and I don’t know who is writing it. Of course, I will direct it. Sanjay Gupta is with me writing the script with me and with me all the time. We both discuss things as our thoughts are very similar and we are working together in this. Even Sanjay is a very fine director, did a very good job with Kaabil and I am very proud of him. Right now, he is busy with his Mumbai Saga shoot.”
He also shared other details of the highly anticipated project. In the same report, he was quoted as saying he would officially announce the film when he was “100 percent sure about the script.” Saying that it would take him one more year to start the film -- as it requires a lot of prepoduction work -- he said while such Hollywood films could afford big budgets, “we can score on emotions” and added, “Three breath-taking emotional action scenes will score over 10 mindless action sequences.” Meanwhile, Hrithik may also be part of Rohit Shetty-Farah Khan’s Satte Pe Satta remake. But the filmmakers have not announced this officially and Farah Khan recently said she would reveal the final cast of her new directorial project by Diwali.
