Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff's War: GoT Stunt Director Compares it to Hollywood Flicks
Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff’s War is at par with Hollywood films like Mission: Impossible or Fast and the Furious, says stunt director
Fans of Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff’s War have one more reason to look forward to their upcoming action flick. Paul Jennings, one of the leading action directors in Hollywood, has been involved with the face-off sequences between the two lead actors. Paul has been on the team of HBO’s popular TV show, Game of Thrones, and has worked on the stunts of several Hollywood films such as The Dark Knight (2008), San Andreas (2015), Jack Reacher (2012) and Sherlock Holmes (2009). The stunt director shared his experience of working in Bollywood. He said, “What I love about Bollywood is that you can push the action a little bit further. You can do things that push the boundaries of believability right to the edge. As a result, you can end up with more spectacular sequences.”
War is Paul’s first project in the industry. He went on to say that action scenes in Hindi movies may be impacted by budget constraints but for this film, the producer, Aditya Chopra wanted the best and so they were able to deliver grand sequences.
Paul added that there was no difference “between the sequences in War and say, Mission Impossible or The Fast and Furious! The film is at par with them." Praising the two lead actors, he said both were dedicated and “worked hard at different facets of their craft" such as physical training, fighting and dancing. He further added, "We would choreograph fight sequences during rehearsals and then show them to Hrithik and Tiger, who would then inject their individuality to the moves. It is because of them that we could take the fights to a whole new level." War has been directed by Siddharth Anand and also stars Vaani Kapoor. It will hit the screens on 2nd October.
