How to Welcome Chinese New Year at One of Dubai's Best Chinese Restaurants
Zheng He's has a special treat for Chinese New Year and beyond. We tried it and here is the verdict
It’s time to ring in the New Year. Yes, we know, you just welcomed 2019 with a big bang and all that jazz. But what’s harm in celebrating it again? Especially over delicious good and fabulous views? Well, Chinese New Year is upon us and Zheng He’s, the premium Chinese restaurant at the ever-charming Madinat Jumeirah has given you just the right reason to say ‘Happy New Year’ again. In Chinese, if you so wish!
With the picture-perfect views of the Burj Al Arab in the background, select a table facing the waterways and you are set to be transported to the Far East.
Known as Spring Festival, the Chinese New Year celebrations include a specially curated Chef’s menus across the five days uptil February 7. So from peking duck to delicious dimsums, noodles to rice, there will be a wide variety, along with dance performances, calligraphy demonstrations and traditional tea ceremonies.
On our recommendation list is also the brunch and dimsum offer. The brunch offers a delectable spread of dishes from spring rolls to the fried prawns (our absolute favourite), to freshly made crabs and wide, homemade tofu, wok-fried beef black noodles (another winner!) wide array of desserts. Indulge in the brunch on a lazy Friday, looking at the serene abras taking tourists around the Madinat, enjoying the crisp weather.
Also, the dimsum deserves special mention for the brunch. Chicken Shu Mai, BBQ Chicken Char Siu Bao, Spiced Spinach Dumpling, Chinese Cabbage & Mushroom, Seafood Money Bag, ‘Siew Mai’ Corn Fed Chicken and Deep Fried Minced Shrimp and Chive Rolls are just some of the names on the menu. And no, you don’t need to wait for New Year’s to arrive to enjoy this treat.
Meanwhile feast on some more food images! Hungry yet?
