Following the enormous success of the first three films of the hilarious comedies, the Housefull franchise at the box office earlier this year, producer Sajid Nadiadwala did not hold back when creating the budget for the highly anticipate and much awaited, Housefull 4. If reports are to be believed, the film has the biggest budget for a comedy film that Bollywood has ever seen.
"The film boasts a huge star cast - Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Bobby Deol, both the Kritis - Sanon and Kharbanda, Pooja Hegde, Rana Daggubati, Amanda Rosario apart from Boman Irani and Nawazuddin Siddiqui among a host of others. There has been a change of director from Sajid Khan to Farhad Samji and both of them have been paid. Sajid Khan was replaced after the #MeToo controversy as was actor Nana Patekar who was also paid," a reliable source revealed.
Housefull 4 is essentially a reincarnation comedy, with the narrative that switches from the 'Baahubali-era' to the present day. "The film also has two cinematographers capturing two eras - the 16th as well as the 21st century. There are seven music composers for the film as well. Add to all this there are multiple locations and a reshoot that took place making it the most expensive comedy film thus far," the source added. The makers of Housefull 4 have also decided to make Akshay Kumar rap for the promotions of the film in a unique and interesting way. Akshay Kumar has lent his voice in his previous films Singh Is Kinng and Special 26 and will once again be looking to charm the audience with his rapping skills.
In addition, in a recent interview, talented director Farhad Samji had revealed some juicy details about the upcoming film, "It is a period comedy... something that we are doing for the first time. The look, clothes and scale of the film are done on a different level. That's the challenge." Housefull 4 is scheduled to hit the floors on Diwali this year which is in October.
