Tom Hanks’ SNL appearance sparks worry among the actor’s fans
A tray of cocktails was presented by SNL cast member Bowen Yang during the sketch. As Tom grabs a drink to pass to Martin, who’s next to Tina, he says, “May I offer you our signature cocktail, the Marty Tina.”
His hands tremble wildly as he hands over the drink. Viewers were quick to notice the actor’s hands and turned to social media to share their concerns. “Did anyone notice Tom Hanks’ hands shaking unnaturally in this sketch?,” asked one.
“He might have a lot on his mind these days, as he has been mentioned several times in the same subject as Oprah, Ellen, The Rock and others…. all allegedly of course. I hate it as I have loved Tom’s acting for years, and he always seemed so genuine and cool, but we don’t know their actual personalities. It’s a foolish thing to be idolizing them too much, because you never know…. I do hope the actual truth is that he hasn’t been directly involved, but it isn’t looking too good. His own son also spoke negatively about him…. I think he has seen better days, that’s for sure. Time will tell, why he seemed so “overly nervous” or having signs of “addiction” maybe during this? Could be bad health as well, who knows,” explained the second.
“Trembling like that is usually a sign of Parkinson’s. Sometimes it doesn’t get worse than that,” posited third.
“Considering he’s almost 70! Yeah, older people’s hands tend to shake a little,” noted the fourth.

Hanks was previously photographed trembling uncontrollably while clutching a microphone at a 2022 Elvis promotional event. In 2021, he opened up about his COVID 19 diagnosis, saying, “As the canaries in the coal mine for the COVID-19 experience, we are fine – we had about 10 days of very uncomfortable symptoms, not life-threatening, I’m happy to say.”
