Here's The Reason For Abhishek Bachchan's Abrupt Exit From JP Dutta's Paltan
Was it the right decision or not? You decide!
Not so long ago, we reported of Abhishek Bachchan’s sudden exit from JP Dutta’s upcoming film, Paltan. While the actor is often known to be away from controversy, he landed himself in a rather unusual situation this time.
Paltan, which is based on the Indo-China war of 1962, also has Jimmy Sheirgill, Arjun Rampal, Sonu Sood, Gurmeet Chaudhary and Harshvardhan Rane as part of the star cast. Considering director, JP Dutta was instrumental in Abhishek’s debut, Refugee and also worked with the actor on LOC Kargil and Umrao Jaan, fans were shocked when Abhishek chose to bow out of Paltan, at the very last minute.
While various rumours on a rift between the two did the rounds, the main reason for his exit if finally out, and its similar to what we expected. According to a report on Bollywoodlife.com, a source close to the film revealed, “Abhishek was quite kicked about Paltan. However, he realised after a while that Sonu Sood had more screen space than him. That bothered him considerably. When he discussed his apprehensions with Dutta, he told him that while Sonu had more screen time, it was Abhishek who had a better character written for him. Dutta could not convince him and he backed out at the end minute.”
Now that Paltan is behind him, there’s other good news for Abhishek Bachchan fans. Reports suggest that the actor has replaced Sushant Singh Rajput in an upcoming film, RAW, where he will be seen playing a spy. In addition, he will also star opposite his gorgeous wife, Aishwarya Rai in the remake of Abhimaan! So, if you were wondering about Jr.Bachchan’s future plans, he seems to have a pretty packed schedule.
