Here’s Why We Salute Varun Dhawan For Leaving an Awards Ceremony Midway!
His kindness is admirable…
His face was said to be drained of colour, when Varun Dhawan apparently walked out of an awards night last Friday, after putting up a stellar performance on stage.
We salute the young actor, who chose to be with his friends/colleagues in their hour of need, over the possibility of winning an award. Varun was nominated in the Best Actor (Male) category for Badlapur, did an aerial act with a human pyramid — a tribute to martyrs of the recent Pathankot terror attacks. But the actor had also received news that his makeup artist’s son has met with a fatal accident, says a source in an article in Mid Day.
Instead of waiting for the awards to be announced, he decided to be with the make-up artist in his hour of grief. "Varun treats his staff members like his own family. As soon as he heard about the death, he rushed to be by his make-up dada's side," says a source. Though Varun Dhawan was not available for comment, but a source close to the actor confirmed the story. Ranveer Singh and Amitabh Bachchan won the award jointly for Bajirao Mastani and Piku, respectively.
