Happy Diwali: Amitabh Bachchan, Madhuri Dixit, Boman Irani and Other Stars Share Greetings and Inspiring Messages

Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Madhuri Dixit and other Bollywood celebs shared photos and inspiring messages during the Festival of Lights.

Bollywood stars and audiences are celebrating Diwali today (27th October), the Festival of Lights. This is one of the most important festivals in Hinduism, considered a symbol of the triump of good over evil, light over darkness, and knowledge over ignorance. On the occasion, which is being celebrated on a massive scale in India and worldwide, several Bollywood celebs took to social media to share their festive updates and wish their followers peace, prosperity and joy. Here’s what some of the stars shared:

Amitabh Bachchan, sharing two old Diwali photos where he seen holding firecrackers with wife Jaya Bachchan and daughter Shweta Bachchan Nanda, tweeted, “Diwali greetings to all .. peace prosperity and fulfilment ...(please accept this as a response to all the greetings received ; it will be impossible to reply to each individually).”

Akshay Kumar shared a group picture, including wife Twinkle Khanna and their team, saying, “Celebrating Diwali with the team. It’s the happiest time of the year, when the clothes are bright and the smiles even brighter! Wishing you all a very safe and #HappyDiwali.”

Posting the picture of a diya, actor Rishi Kapoor wrote, “Diwali ki shubh kaamnayen sabhi ko! Happy Diwali!”

Madhuri Dixit Nene shared video message on Twitter and wishing her fans ‘love, happiness and success’. She wrote, “A beautiful diwali morning in Goa... Wishing you all a very Happy Diwali.”

Kajol posted a picture of herself, clad in a blue saree and wearing a red bindi, on Instagram, captioning it as “With love from my fav photographer... Happy Diwali to one and all.”

Actress Huma Qureshi tweeted, “Happy Diwali doston !! Khoob pyaar.”

Dia Mirza, shared a video message from her Puja and said, “Happy Diwali!!! Love, Light, Peace and Progress for all.”

Model-actor Milind Soman posted a running picture and an inspiring message for his followers. He wrote, “Happy Diwali people of the world! Not the most convenient way to run, but it wont stop me...longest run in a dhoti so far - 25k. Dont let anything stop you.”

Singer-actor Armaan Malik, posting his pic in red kurta, wrote, “I’ve always celebrated Diwali without actually knowing what it truly symbolised. But this year, I really resonated with what it stands for. It’s that time of the year when we need to let go of the negative energies that hold us back. Everything around you lights up when you let that light inside of you shine bright. So shine on and don’t let any damn person or situation dull your sparkle! #HappyDiwali.”

Actor Boman Irani posted a video message advising fans to think about others before using very noisy crackers during the festival. He wrote, “Celebrate this Diwali with diyas over crackers! Wishing all my loved people a very Happy Diwali from the Iranis!”

Anupam Kher was happy to be able to celebrate the festival with his friends and family. He tweeted, “Delighted that I am managing to go back to India for Diwali. Thanks to team @NBCNewAmsterdam. Here is wishing you all a very Happy, Prosperous and Peaceful Dइwali. May God give you all the happiness in the world. Love you all.”

Diwali celebrations have been in full swing in B-town, with a line-up of parties and private gatherings at the stars’ homes since Friday. Actor-producer Jackky Bhagnani recently hosted a bash at his Mumbai residence, which was attended by Varun Dhawan, Sara Ali Khan, Shahid Kapoor, Mira Rajput, Nushrat Bharucha, Tahira Kashyap, Arjun Kapoor, Shriya Saran, Varun Sharma and other celebrities. The celebs have also been sharing their various looks and styles for Diwali festivities, providing some fashion ideas and inspiration to fans who are also celebrating this auspicious occasion.
