Guru Randhawa is Back in India With Four Stitches, Says He Won't Perform in Canada Again After Attack

Guru Randhawa, a famous Punjabi singer, was on a US-Canada tour was assaulted during his Vancouver concert. The singer is now back home in India and has released a statement in his latest Instagram post.

Guru Randhawa is famous for his songs like ‘Lahore’, ‘Proper Patola’ and ‘High Rated Gabru.’ Guru's incredible success in the past few years has led to him becoming a household name for his chart-topping hits. It is safe to say that Guru is a singer that is loved not only in India but all around the world. The Punjabi singer recently embarked on a US-Canada tour to the delight of his international fans. The Dallas show went great and Guru Randhawa also excitedly posted about it on his official social media accounts. He joyously commented on how much he loved Dallas and could not wait to get back to his American audience soon. In the same post, Guru also mentioned that his upcoming concert is in Vancouver which was scheduled to be on July 28th.

However, all did not go well during his Vancouver concert. A person in the crowd misbehaved with the singer while he was performing. When Guru refused to let him come on stage, he started fighting with the people backstage. As soon as the show ended and Guru was about to leave the stage, the same man walked up to Guru and punched him in the face. This assault resulted in bleeding from the forehead above his left eyebrow. Guru went back to the stage to let his audience know about what had happened to him. The assaulter was not alone and whoever tried to pacify the group was beaten by them.

The incident happened on 28th July in Vancouver when Guru told one punjabi man not to come on stage while he was performing for the audience. That man was trying to come on stage again and again and then he started fighting with everyone backstage. He was known to the local promoter Surinder Sanghera who sent him away during the show. But at the end when Guru finished the show and was leaving the stage, that punjabi man came and hit him hard on his face with a punch , because of which Guru started bleeding on the spot from his forehead above eyebrow and went back to stage and showed it to the audience. That man was with few others and whosoever tried to stopped them, they were punching them and then they all ran away. Guru is home now feeling safe in India. And he said he won’t ever perform in Canada for the rest of his life. Guru Said , his Guru Nanak Dev ji has saved him and prayed to Waheguru to give that man a good sense of understanding what to do and what not to. Your love and support is all we need always. Guru Randhawa’s team has posted on his behalf that the singer is now back in India after a successful tour. The team also narrated the exact incident in the post so that fans could have an idea of what exactly happened. This incident has clearly left Guru disheartened as he has decided to never perform in Canada again. It is notable because Canada is known for its large Punjabi population. Guru also chose not to say any harsh words about the assaulter. According to the singer, he prayed to Waheguru to give the assaulter a clear understanding of right and wrong.
