5 business dreamers win Dhs100,000
Globuzz recently awarded 5 women based in the United Arab Emirates an opportunity to launch their business dream. Each of the winners were awarded Dhs100,000 to launch their business at the Red High Heels event.
The five business dreamers Abhilasha Poddar, Sandra Tippets, Faryal Imran, Ann Mejorada and Rosele Diana won the attention of the audience. They were judged by a panel of judges that included Nadia Al Sayegh, Purnima Jagtiani, Sanjiv Ahluwalia and Noeline Devadoss.
The event was held at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel, Dubai and supported by Ministry of International Cooperation and Development, Abu Dhabi, Executive Council of the Government of Ras Al Khaimah, Department of Economic Development (Government of Dubai) and Fujairah Free Trade Zone.
The event opened with a plaque of appreciation for the first woman Minister of the United Arab Emirates, H.E. Sheikha Lubna Bint Khaled Al Qassimi, Minister of International Cooperation and Development and President of Zayed University. Ms. Halla Lootah, Director of Government Communications, Dubai, Ministry of International Cooperation and Development, UAE, received the award on behalf of H.E. Sheikha Lubna Bint Khaled Al Qassimi from Ms. Gayathri Bhardwaj, Founder and Director of GLOBUZZ.
