Glee stars share their thoughts as Naya Rivera is found dead

The actress was found today after being deemed missing five days ago

Five days after the search for Naya Rivera began her body was found at California Lake. The 33-year old mother of one had been on a boating trip with her son when the incident happened. It is believed that she saved her four-year old son’s life before losing her own.

As her death was announced this morning several of Naya’s Glee cast members have taken to their social media platforms to share condolences:

Demi Lovato
Demi played Naya’s on screen romance in the musical series. She shared pictures of the pair on set and wrote, “RIP Naya Rivera. I’ll forever cherish the opportunity to play your girlfriend on Glee… your ambition and accomplishments were inspiring to Latina women all over the world. My heart goes out to your loved ones at this time.”

Chris Colfer
Chris who played Kurt Hummel wrote a moving tribute to Naya, “Her brilliance and humor were unmatched. Her beauty and talent were otherworldly. She spoke truth to power with poise and fearlessness. She could turn a bad day into a great day with a single remark. She inspired and uplifted people without even trying. Being close to her was both a badge of honor and a suit of armor. Naya was truly one of a kind, and she always will be.”

Jenna Ushkowitz
Actress Jenna Ushkowitz who played Tina Cohen-Chang in Glee echoed Chirs’ character statement by saying, “Naya, you were a force and everyone who got to be around you knew it and felt the light and joy you exuded when you walked into a room. You shined on stage and screen and radiated with love behind closed doors. I was lucky enough to share so many laughs, martinis and secrets with you."

Glee’s loved Coach Sue Sylvester actress Jane Lynch took to Twitter to share her condolences. ​
