Game of Thrones Season 8

Game of Thrones Season 8 trailer has finally surfaced and this looks like it’s going to be one intense ride.

The trailer begins with Arya Stark running and speaking in voice-over. “I know death. He’s got many faces. I look forward to seeing this one.”

"Everything you brought you where you are now. Where you belong," says Bran's voice. Bran is now the Three-Eyed Raven. It's relieving to see that he's finally accepted this role and the conflict of him being able to see far into the fture is over.

We then see an image of Cersei smiling. And then the words, ‘home’. Cersei is at King's Landing but nowhere else do we see her taking up arms or fighting.

The dragons have come and Sansa Stark couldn’t be happier. Arya's glee is also seen visibly. But where are the White Walkers? In the last frame, however, we do see everyone manning for battle, including Podrick and Brienne. Jaime Lannister speaks with resolve: “I promised to fight for the living. I intend to keep that promise.” Considering the threat that looms over everyone, one does wonder if this is the best that the humans can come up with against the White Walkers? Or perhaps it is only their first line of defense. There isn't much of a heirarchy but everyone is preparing for war. A big one.

Entertainment Weekly reported that this would be the longest consecutive battle sequence ever put on film. So it’s pretty much clear that the entire season 8 would be war.
The major reveal is that Beric and Tormund are alive and Cersei is capable of tearful drinking.

Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen are in a union together and shall be leading the war against the White Walkers. Gendry is rallying the weapons and Grey Worm and Missandei kiss for what seems like the last time?

The season begins on April 14th on HBO. Watch the full trailer here.
