Bollywood stars are often looked up to as role models or idols. While they enjoy massive fan following and have multiple social media pages in their names, some people go as far as naming their children, restaurants and many other things after them. And they have no qualms in doing so! From a Turkey-based café being named after superstar Salman Khan to Shah Rukh Khan having a crater to his credit, B-town ladies are not far behind either. 1. Deepika Padukone
There are millions around the world who would want to name their children after the Bollywood starlet. But we don’t know how many would actually go ahead and do it! Did you know the Piku actor has a paratha thaali and dosa named after her in Mumbai? It’s called Deepika Dossa!
2. Priyanka Chopra
The Bollywood Desi Girl has a milkshake named after her at the eatery Millions of Milkshakes, located in West Hollywood.
3. Sanjay Dutt
One of the most popular yesteryear eateries in Mumbai has an item on its menu named after Sanju. The restaurant, called the Noor Mohammadi Hotel at Mohammed Ali Road, has a dish named after Sanjay and it is called Chicken Sanju Baba. Lol at that!
On the occasion of his 62nd birthday six years ago, a restaurant in Chennai called New Neela Bhavan introduced 12 different dishes in honour of Rajinikanth. These dishes were named after his box office hits including Rajathi Raja Dosai, Thalapathi Parotta, Adhiseya Piravi Idli, Padaiyappa Suruttu Parotta, Endhiran Noodles, Mapillai Jagirdhanda and more. Well, he surely deserves it!
5. Shah Rukh Khan
In 2017, when King Khan visited Varanasi during the promotions of Harry Met Sejal, he made a pit stop at a paan shop to eat the banarasi paan. When his fans came to know about this, they could not control their excitement and started to visit the shop so frequently that the owner named the paan after the superstar. It’s called the Shah Rukh Khan paan!
A New York-based organisation has also named a lunar crater after SRK. Following the honour, he joined the list of personalities like C V Raman, Vikram Sarabhai and Homi Bhabha, who have craters named after them too.
6. Kareena Kapoor Khan
When Kareena managed to become the popular size zero, it became the talk of the town and the world went into a frenzy. So much so, that an Italian joint came up with a dish called Kareena Kapoor Size-Zero Pizza.
7. Salman Khan
While other actors just have dishes named after them, Salman has an entire restaurant named after him. Called Bhaijaanz, the place also has food items based on his famous characters, from the Prem dessert to the Chulbul Chawal. Cafe Del-Mar in Turkey was renamed Salman Khan Cafe in 2012. While shooting for Ek Tha Tiger in Mardin, Salman suggested a lot of changes in the eatery and the makers ended up loving his ideas.
8. Ranbir Kapoor
During a promotional visit to Chandigarh for his film Raajneeti, Ranbir visited a dhaba (old-fashioned restaurant) located on the outskirts of the city. Following this, the owner named a special chicken dish after him. Ranbir even paid a visit again to try the dish!
9. Sonam Kapoor
Sonam is now 34-years-old. On her 25th birthday, a Mumbai-based confectionary named a mango blueberry cake after her. They named it Sonam Special! How aww-dorable is that?
10. Akshay Kumar
Akshay’s character from the film Once Upon ay Time in Mumbai Dobaara! inspired a special cocktail named Shoaibtini at resort in Oman where the film was shot.
11. Dilip Kumar
The legendary actor has a chili pickle named after him. Given that in the 1960s, Dilip was a heartthrob of many women, the makers of the pickle-making company came up with this unique concept. The tagline of the product was: The taste of your tongue is packed in this bottle.
12. Madhuri Dixit
Fans of the B-town diva named a star in the Orion constellation after her in 2012. The certificate presented by her fans to Madhuri read, "A celestial body in the sky above has been named in honour of Madhuri Dixit-Nene and is officially located in the constellation Orion".
13. Amitabh Bachchan
In 2004, an orchid in Singapore was named 'Dendrobium Amitabh Bachchan'. The Bollywood legend was in the city for an awards function. In addition, a waterfall is also named after the megastar that lies on the road connecting Chungthang to Yumthang Valley in North Sikkim.
14. Raj Kapoor
The actor-filmmaker has a street named after him in the city of Brampton, Canada. The street is called the 'Raj Kapoor Crescent'. It still exists!
15. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan
The former Miss World has a breed of tulips in the Netherlands named after her. It’s called 'Aishwarya Rai.' Not only this, but a college for underprivileged girls, which was being set up in Uttar Pradesh in 2012 was also named as The Aishwarya Rai Bachchan Girls College.

18. Dia Mirza
A baby rhinoceros has been named after Bollywood actor Dia. The star, who is a UN Environment Goodwill Ambassador and the brand ambassador of Wildlife Trust of India, shared the news earlier. She tweeted, “Thank you for naming this beautiful baby after me! It means the world to me. Thank you Richard, Hamid, Sarah, Elodie, Yaqoob and team for this privilege.”
