MY IDEA OF A PERFECT V-DAY
Bollywood has exaggerated my expectations from Valentine’s Day and the fantasy can never match up to what exactly can happen, unless my room is filled with heart shaped balloons and a guy can sing a song for me wherein 15 random and well-dressed strangers can join-in in the chorus (Read : Dil Toh Pagal Hai Reference) Just kidding, even though I'm extremely Bollywood, am not too mushy and which is why a nice meal & a movie (of my choice, of course) should do the trick.
3 MUST-VIST RESTAURANTS
Mint Leaf Of London
Head Chef - Pradeep Khullar, the food magician plans on coming up with a Valentines special menu which will have some of their best sellers hand-picked with love (obviously) and you can relish on their amazing food with the breath-taking view of Burj Khalifa. The interiors of the place are of top notch, luxury at its best and which is what makes it such a perfect place to celebrate Valentines Day.
I recommend: The Scotch Egg Curry, Kataifi Nest.
This is by far the most romantic spot in the UAE, one of those places that can make you want to be in love, even if you aren't. It's definitely not very loving towards your wallet however, but if we can keep that aside, then definitely give the Friday brunch at Zaya Nurai a thumbs up this Valentine’s, as it not just provides a lavish spread but also gives you access to the entire island which means you can use the private beach too, so don't forget to warn your Instagram followers about the spectacular spam coming their way.
I recommend: Do yourself a favour and try out the love chops errr I mean lamb chops.
If you're in the capital, then there's no 'sweet'er way to spend Valentine’s Day than in Tamba. Tamba desserts are not just scrumptious but also have a bitter-sweet story attached to its 6 desserts. The rather complex love story is a cocktail of love, lust and passion & is definitely worth a listen.
I recommend: 'The Indecent Proposal' 'The Bride' and lastly 'The Break Up' *You know, just incase*
