Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor are currently in Dubai for the shooting schedule of Remo D’Souza’s Street Dancer 3D. After wrapping up their London and Punjab schedule, Varun Dhawan, Shraddha Kapoor, Prabhu Deva, Nora Fatehi and the team of Street Dancer 3D have kick-started the Dubai schedule of their upcoming film Street Dancer 3D. The film, directed by Remo D’Souza and produced by Bhushan Kumar, is being promoted as the biggest ever 3D dance film. According to sources, Dubai schedule will be of 15 days, for which 150 crew members are part of this shoot – 110 from Mumbai, India and about 40 from Dubai. The team is here until June 5 and are busy shooting inside a studio set up in Riverland, Dubai Parks and Resorts.
Reportedly, the team was shooting a sad song on Wednesday. Speaking about the song, Punit J Pathak told City Times, “For ABCD 2, I was the choreographer of Chunar and in this film, we are shooting a sad song which I have choreographed. It is an experience that we will remember forever.”
On the same day, Varun took to his Instagram handle to share a picture of himself with the Remo D’Souza and wrote, “Years of emotion is expressed in a single take. Give and take is the most fun part of the relationship between a director and actor.”
Abdul Rahman bin Khalifa, who is the managing director of ARK Middle East and looking after the Dubai production of the shoot, told City Times that he had only 10 days to make arrangements for the Dubai schedule of the film. “The day I got the call from Lizelle (one of the producers of the movie), we just had 10 days to arrange everything. With the help of the Indian crew, we pulled it off, and everything is going on well. Also, Remo is the best director in the industry. He is the calmest guy to work with. He only wants positivity on his set,” Abdul said.
Speaking about the local talents, Remo said, “We have hired a lot of local talents. We hired a few dancers, actors, and production help as well from the UAE. Abdul has been handling everything, and he has been a great help. He arranged the entire shoot. It is remarkable to arrange everything for a crew of 150 in 10 days.”
Revealing that Varun loves Dubai, Remo said “The day I said that we would shoot in Dubai, he (Varun) was jumping.”
He further spoke about how shooting abroad requires more effort. “We need to work even harder. Because we are travelling outside and so many people are working against time. We get up early and work till really late. Everyone thinks that since we are going abroad, we will chill and shoot, but we work even harder,” the director said.
When asked about the storyline of the film, Remo said, “Everything is there in the title – street and dance. It is a story about people from the street who are competing with each other. You will see a lot of street culture, romance, action, dance, and all the emotions together. It is also about freedom and unity.”
Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor were seen together in Remo D’Souza’s ABCD 2. The film, Street Dancer 3D is another film in the ABCD 2 series. The film is slated to release on November 8, 2019.
