Farhan Akhtar Feels Audience is in the Process of Seeing Priyanka Chopra’s Evolution

Farhan Akhtar and Priyanka Chopra are sharing screen space in The Sky is Pink after their first outing in Dil Dhadakne Do

Farhan Akhtar and Priyanka Chopra have been creating a lot of buzz around town lately as their next film together, The Sky is Pink is all set to hit screens soon. The duo has earlier worked together on Dil Dhadakne Do and their upcoming film will mark their second outing together. The Sky is Pink was very well received at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) held last month and the film’s cast is currently promoting the film as it is scheduled to hit screens on October 11. During one of the interviews, Farhan spoke of Priyanka’s command over the profession and how she is still evolving.

Farhan shared, “She has worked really hard to get to where she is. She has always had the spirit to go out there and get what she wants, to improve herself as a professional, as an artist, and that is something that has just made her grow from where she started to where she is today. I still believe that there is a lot more for her to do, we are still in the process of seeing her evolution, and I wish her the best, and hope she gets everything her heart desires, because I know she will work hard for it.”

The actor spoke about how his and Priyanka's characters in The Sky is Pink are an extension of their characters from Dil Dhadakne Do. He concluded, “People still talk about the relationship that Sunny and Ayesha from Dil Dhadakne Do had and their chemistry. This film is somehow an extension of that. You have two characters from Dil Dhadakne Do, who absolutely love each other and now, you have two characters in The Sky Is Pink, Niren and Aditi, who absolutely love each other as well. This is actually how it would be if Sunny and Ayesha did get married.”
