Expo 2020 Dubai Signs An Agreement With Dubai Culture and Arts Authority
Expo 2020 aims to present various initiatives in partnership with Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, positioning Dubai as a global cultural capital
Expo 2020 Dubai and the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority have partnered to provide a culturally-rich experience to the millions of visitors expected to attend Expo next year. Reem Al Hashemi, Minister of State for International Cooperation and Director General of the Dubai Expo 2020 Office, has signed a partnership agreement with the Chairperson of Dubai Culture, Shaikha Latifa Bint Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum. This agreement will help incorporate various art and cultural initiatives as a run up to and during Expo 2020 in order to showcase creativity and Dubai’s growing art scene, and to strengthen the city’s position as a global cultural capital.
Reem Al Hashemi said the agreement “highlights the combined efforts of all in the UAE to make this national project a success.” Dubai Culture will also be running promotional campaigns for Expo 2020. Promoted as the world’s greatest show, the highly-anticipated event will run for 173 days, from 20th October 2020 to 10th April 2021. It will showcase the latest innovations via 192 country pavilions and also include several activities for leisure and entertainment.

Speaking about the partnership with Expo 2020, Shaikha Latifa said, “With Dubai Culture named the official culture supporter of Expo 2020, we aim through this partnership to enrich the cultural experience of visitors to the world’s giant event, so that the creative and cultural content be main part of the event.”

It will strengthen the UAE’s international standing, enrich its cultural portfolio, and promote its rich heritage and legacy for the prosperity of future generations and the happiness of our residents and visitors,” she added.
