Lace up, ladies! The Dubai Women’s Run (DWR) is returning for its seventh edition this November. Organised this year by Plan b, the DWR places a particular focus on sport, encouraging women to prioritise health and fitness.Whether you’re a competitive runner or a casual beginner, DWR has a place for you on the track. The DWR 2017 will feature two distances: 5k and 10k, so you can pick either based on your fitness level.

The DWR is only open to women. Sorry, boys! To be eligible, just make sure you’re age 14 and up.

The Dubai Women’s Run attracts a number of elite athletes, and this year is no different. Kenyan long-distance track and road runner, Tegla Loroupe, will be participating in the DWR 2017, amongst other elite athletes. The DWR 2017 has also introduced its impressive line-up of ambassadors, which includes Lamia Tariq Malallah aka UAE Wonder Girl, the youngest Emirati gymnast competing locally and internationally. Amputee athlete and fitness instructor, Dareen Barbar and painter and philanthropist, Sana Khan were announced as ambassadors too. Joining these remarkable women is Bollywood actor/producer Sonu Sood, an advocate of causes that empower women.
