Krishnakumar Kunnath, popularly known as KK, is amongst the top playback singers in Bollywood. He started with singing and recording more than 3500 jingles in 11 Indian languages for a TV channel and got his first break as a playback singer in Bollywood movie, Maachis with lyricist Gulzar's hit song, Chodh aaye hum woh galiyan. KK has sung close to 500 songs in Hindi while more than 100 songs in various other languages including Telugu, Tamil & Kannada.
KK transitioned to Bollywood in 1999 when he sang ‘Tadap tadap ke is dil se’ from Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. Since then he has been one of the industry's most in-demand singers with his voice heard in numerous film hits including Awarapan Banjarapan from Jism, Tu Ashique Hai from Jhankar Beats, Zara Sa from Jannat, Ankhon Me Teri from Om Shanti Om, Khuda Jaane from Bachna Ae Haseeno, Tu Hi Meri Shab from Gangster, the hugely popular Tamil Song ‘Appadi Podu’ from Ghilli and an unforgettable friendship song Yaaron.
