With the release of the much awaited and hyped Bharat just around the corner, Salman Khan fans are dying to see how their Bhai will take to the big screen once again when the flick releases. As many Bollywood moviegoers know, Salman is known for always releasing a film around Eid ul Fitr each year, turning it into an annual tradition for us to all look forward to. Amongst the many films that have been released over the years, we’ve looked at the Bhai Eid releases that we consider to be the best. Check them out below!

Wanted (2009)

After a string of several films that were total flops at the box office (like God Tussi Great Ho, Yuvvraaj and Main Aurr Mrs Khanna), Salman was hitting rock bottom and many chided the star for his seemingly unending number of failures. But this action flick directed by Prabhu Deva propelled Salman back into the limelight. It was even the fourth highest-grossing Bollywood film of 2009.

Dabangg (2010)

If Wanted took Sallu to new heights, then Dabangg sent him into the stratosphere. His portrayal as policeman Chulbul Pandey made the character an instant legend in the film industry. Who hasn’t tried (and failed) to copy that sunglasses move?

Ek Tha Tiger (2012)

Though this flick wasn’t as critically well-received as other Bhai movies on this list, it was a definite hit at the box office. It also served in bringing to the Salman Khan-Katrina Kaif pairing, which will next be seen in Bharat as well as the third instalment of the Tiger series.

Bajrangi Bhaijaan (2015)

This super hit was all people could talk about in 2015. From Salman’s acting as a lovable character, to the totally adorable Harshaali Malhotra who portrayed the super cute Munni, to the heart-warming story aiming to bridge India and Pakistan amidst conflict, the film touched moviegoers’ hearts everywhere.

Sultan (2016)

The flick called back to Salman’s usual presence in action films as this particular film focused on Bhai playing a wrestler, alongside love interest Anushka Sharma. But the sweetness of the character Sultan along with Aarfa’s badassery made this something different, yet special.

Bharat releases in the first week of June during Eid ul Fitr and stars Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif and Disha Patani. The film is directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, who is also the brain behind Salman-starrers Sultan and Tiger Zinda Hai.
