Ed Sheeran Announces Yet Another Break from Music

Ed Sheeran shared that he will not be making music until he has lived life a little more to write songs about it

Ed Sheeran is one the biggest celebrities when it comes to music. The singer has had a number of hits throughout the course of his career, some of his most famous ones being Shape of You, Perfect, Photograph and many others. But it seems like fans will have to wait for a long time now for Ed to release new music. The musician took to Instagram recently to share that he will be taking a break from music, once again.

In his Instagram post, the singer wrote, "Hello all. Going to go on another break again. The Divide era and tour changed my life in so many ways, but now it's all over it's time to go out and see some more of the world. I've been a bit nonstop since 2017 so I'm just going to take a breather to travel, write and read. I'll be off all social media till it's time to come back. To my family and friends, see ya when I see ya - and to my fans, thank you for always being amazing. I promise to be back with some music when the time is right and I've lived a little more to actually have something to write about. Lots of love."

This isn't the first time Ed has taken a hiatus from music and social media. Back in 2015, the singer shared that he was taking a break, however, one year later, he returned to all social media platforms with a blue image sporting a division sign, to not only announce his comeback but also his new album, Divide. Recently, Ed also opened up on being fat shamed and how that led him to feel insecure and he decided to change his drinking and smoking habits and incorporate exercise into his daily routine. He continued that he ended up losing about 50 pounds after changing his lifestyle.
